Growth tactics → what you'll actually do

Rate common solo-operator growth tactics against your real behavior, not theory. One pass. About ten minutes.

Run it when

Before committing to a growth plan, or after weeks of stalled effort on something you keep avoiding.

Bring

A list of tactics you've considered or been told to do, and an honest half hour.

Leave with

Three columns — Will Run, Won't Run, Fighting It — one real reason per skip.

Rate me honestly, not diplomatically.

MY SITUATION: [one sentence — what I'm building, where I am]
TACTICS I'M CONSIDERING: [list — e.g. warm outreach, cold DMs, paid ads, LinkedIn posting, cold calling, partnerships, community posting]
PAST EVIDENCE: [any tactic you've already tried — what happened, how it felt, not just the result]

For each tactic, sort into:
1. WILL RUN — genuinely willing, even if uncomfortable at first
2. WON'T RUN — real mismatch, name the specific reason
3. FIGHTING IT — currently avoiding it, unclear if it's mismatch or just newness

For anything in FIGHTING IT, ask me one clarifying question that would tell the difference between "wrong tactic for me" and "uncomfortable because it's new." Don't answer it for me.

Run it in four moves

  1. List every tactic you've tried or been told to do.
  2. Add one line of real evidence per tactic.
  3. Run the prompt.
  4. Sit with Fighting It for a day before deciding.

60-second review

  • Every Won't Run has a specific reason.
  • Fighting It has real evidence, not a guess.
  • You'd show this list to someone who knows you.
  • Not everything landed in Won't Run.
